A weekend of events with Henry Shukman

Upaya Sangha of Tucson and Zen Desert Sangha 

Henry Shukman (Ryu’un-ken) is an Associate Zen Master of the Sanbo Zen lineage, a Zen school dedicated to lay practice. He is also a writer and poet who has published eight books to date, of fiction, poetry and nonfiction. He writes regularly for Tricycle, The New York Times and other publications, and his most recent book is the poetry collection, Archangel.

Poetry Reading and Talk: Zen and Poetry

Free, no registration needed.
Location: Ada Pierce McCormick Building, University of Arizona, 1402 E. First St. (Note: there is a resident cat; he will be in a separate room)

Saturday, Sep 9, 8:00 am – 3:00 pm
Workshop: Zen in the New Century including meditation and discussion

Suggested donation: $30

Please note that only the Saturday workshop "Zen in the New Century" requires registration.  If you wish to attend the Saturday workshop, please make sure to register early, as the venue can only accommodate 50 people.
