This is a special opportunity to practice with a senior dharma heir of Pat Hawk Roshi. All are welcome, both new and longtime practitioners.
This extended practice period will run from dinner at 6 pm on Friday evening 1/16 through noon on Sunday 1/18. The schedule will be: Friday 6 pm-9 pm; Saturday 6 am-9 pm; Sunday 6 am-noon. Participants can either return home to sleep or make arrangements to "camp out" at the zendo. All meals will be provided.
For those unable to attend the entire weekend, briefer "zazenkai style" participation from 6 am - 3 pm on Saturday can be elected. Zazenkai participants are also requested to attend the Friday evening session from 6-9 pm.
The sesshin will be limited to 24 participants; early registration is recommended because we expect it to fill quickly. The cost for the full sesshin is $100 for ZDS members/$125 for non-members; for the shorter zazenkai sit, the cost is $50 for members/$60 for non-members. Financial assistance is available on request.
